Event Mission
The Rattlesnake Gravel Grind isn't just an annual test of strength and endurance; it's a community-driven event benefiting all Nolan County residents through support for its 5 Volunteer Fire Departments. Local civic organizations and businesses collaborate to provide essential services such as rest stops, aid stations, and SAG support for cyclists, fostering a true grassroots atmosphere.
Since its inception, the Rattlesnake Gravel Grind has drawn riders from across the United States and around the globe—from California to the United Kingdom. This event welcomes first-timers, average enthusiasts, weekend warriors, domestic and international pro cyclists alike, all prepared to conquer the unpredictable elements and terrain of West Texas.
Riders, sponsors, and volunteers unite after the ride to celebrate with Texas Red Dirt Music and delicious food, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and achievement.

Proceeds from the Rattlesnake Gravel Grind benefit the 5 Volunteer Fire Departments of Nolan County and from the 2024 event we provided $62,500. Let's do it again in 2025!
